Scholarships

Please note that applying for a scholarship does not replace the standard admission process for the International Master in Life Sciences. All candidates must submit a full application to the Master’s program, using the dedicated platforms (Campus France, Mon Master or eCandidat, according to their situation).

France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship

The France Excellence Eiffel scholarship program is developed by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs to support foreign students studying in French institutions. The applications are submitted exclusively by French higher education institutions — meaning we will submit the scholarship application on behalf of selected candidates for the International Master in Life Sciences, and the final decision will be made at the national level by the Eiffel Program selection committee.

To help us evaluate whether we can support your application for an Eiffel scholarship to join the International Master in Life Sciences, please provide by email the following information and documents by November 14th at the latest:

List in your email:

  1. Your current address
  2. Information on any fellowship you received for the ongoing year
  3. An address where we can easily reach you
  4. For each degree/diploma:
  • the institution (name, town, country)
  • the field of study, name of the diploma, and level (Bachelor, Master, or other)
  • the starting and ending dates of the program, along with the date of the diploma
  • your grades, honours, cohort size, and academic ranking
  • an explanation of whether this is an excellency program

In addition, attach the following documents in a single PDF:

  1. Copy of your passport
  2. Curriculum Vitae (CV) in French or English (1-2 pages)
  3. Copy of your recent degrees/diplomas, indicating the date, specialty and honors. If possible, provide your academic ranking (highly recommended) or any other document demonstrating your level of excellence. If your university does not systematically indicate ranking on offical documents, you may provide a signed statement from the person in charge of your program indicating your ranking and cohort size.
  4. Language certificate or diploma demonstrating your proficiency in English at B2 level or above (required if English is not your native language)
  5. Copies of academic transcripts from the last 3 years of your academic education
  6. Motivation Letter, in French or English (1-2 pages), explaining your reasons for wanting to study in France, your interest in our specific program, and your future professional career goals
  7. Recommendation Letters, preferentially from internship supervisors in academy or industry (maximum of 3)

Selected applicants will be contacted by email to complete their Eiffel scholarship application, which will be submitted on their behalf through the Lyon 1 University. Please note: we cannot respond to inquiries about Eiffel applications to join other Master’s or PhD programs.

France Excellence Europa Scholarship

European students may apply by themselves to the “France Excellence Europa” scholarship program.

Because the scholarship application deadline may fall before the admission results are released through the standard Mon Master process, prospective candidates should contact us as soon as possible to submit a pre-application. For this, please send the following documents by email:

  1. Copy of your passport
  2. Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English (1-2 pages)
  3. Copy of your recent degrees/diplomas
  4. Language certificate or diploma demonstrating your proficiency in English at B2 level or above (required if English is not your native language)
  5. Copies of academic transcripts from the last 3 years of your academic education
  6. Motivation Letter in English (1-2 pages), explaining your reasons for wanting to study in France, your interest in our specific program, and your future professional career goals
  7. Recommendation Letters, preferentially from internship supervisors in academy or industry (maximum of 3)

Applicants pre-admitted by our Selection Committee will receive an email confirming their status, which they may use to support their scholarship application.
